The University of Dub in London moved locations this year. Not the breaking news anymore but always worth to mention since the old venue SE One Club was quite an unappealing place for an uplifting event. The new venue Scala hosts the Uni of Dub now. The next sessions are held on
Friday 18th december with Aba-Shanti-I, Fatman International Sound and Iration Steppers
Friday 12th february 2010 presenting Aba-Shanti-I, Iration Steppas and Blackboard Jungle from France
Friday 19th march 2010 featuring Negus Melody, Entebbe Sound and Aba-Shanti-I.
A special reggae session is coming up in december. Located on a small boat which accommodates just about 100 people, two sounds will heat up the vibes and provide pure upliftment in this unusual place. Zionation and Future Roots who had quite a few collaborations in the last years and hosted artists like Earl Sixteen, Hammerbass and Brother Culture will herald the christmas time with a four hour boat trip up and down the river Rhine around Bonn. After the cruise the massive can continue dancing and chanting at the afterboat party, held at the fairly new location known as Bar Ludwig. The bar is just around the corner from the landing. Fab! Dub on the River starts on 19 december at 7 pm and finishes at 11 pm, the bar opens at 10:30 pm and closes between 5 and 6 am. There are 100 limited boat-tickets available that can be purchased for 17€ at the organic store “Bioladen Momo“. For all who can’t get a boat-ticket there is the afterboat party at the bar which is 4 bucks entry.

Neblina Sound from Barcelona takes over this months Dub on the River. The Rub’a'Dub soldiers from Spain will present another ballistic session of roots, lovers rock and rub a dub. Date: 23rd August, 8 p.m.. Tickets cost 17 €. The ship returns at midnight. Tickets are limited to a hundred!!!

The Uni of Dub opens the gates on friday 22nd at the SE One Club. Jah Tubbys, King Shiloh from Amsterdam and the resident sound Abashanti welcome all tribes to this unique event. A great warm up for this years Notting Hill Carnival as well. Entry is 12 pounds. the session starts at 9pm and ends at 6 in the morning. Earplugs can’t be wrong…
