Watch all parts here!

Part1:

raggattackRiddim maker and soundsystem operator Raggattack from Gerona, Spain,  has some wicked productions available for free download.  All tunes are created in a original 80’s digital style with the typical catchy and distinctive sequences – a style that has set a landmark in the musical history of reggae. Raggattack features artists like Sammy Gold from UK (check out the showcase album),  U Rie from Neblina Sound and Rebel Congo aka Bad Spencer (Warriors Don’t Cry Riddim), Davis Fendah and more.

Discography – all tunes available on the MySpace Site:

Sammy Gold – Showcase

David Fendah y Raggattack -  Tocando Suelo

This documentary is one of these underground motion pictures which are brilliant yet hard to find. Recorded in 1979 this movie shows live takes from the Montego Bay Sunsplash, presenting Burning Spear, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Peter Tosh and Third World. Alongside the concert clips are a  stash of artists interviews and snippets showing the environmental setting of jamaican music culture. This makes “Reggae by Bus”  a serious piece of roots reggae documentaries.

It is really sad to see that Google’s Youtube is deleting one good reggaementary after the other.  Due to copyright restrictions some brilliant movies aren’t available anymore. A shame – but still take a look what’s online and enjoy. If you want to download Youtube videos for further studying go and get this powerful Firefox extension. And now have fun with the posts that follow up. Cheers!

Mark Lamarr will present more jamaican hit biscuits from 5 March 2009 on. The one hour show starts thursdays at 10 p.m. Tune in. More info…
